Exploring Colored Pencils Workshop

Using colored pencils is not just about simply coloring a drawing in ; it’s about learning the many different ways to use them to enhance your work. These are some tips that can help you along-remember to start light and build up to darker shades; blend your colors for great effects. One can work in a sketchy style or one can pursue a more final, burnished look . There are many more approaches to learn about and demos will be given by the instructor. This class has a required materials list.

Supply List:
Sketch paper to practice
Drawing paper of choice, anything but Canson. Must be no smaller than 11"x14"
Colored pencils: I use Prismacolor, just don't use Crayola
HB pencils,
Eraser. I use Factis or a gummed eraser
Scrap paper for testing color and for thumb nails.
