Intermediate Metalsmithing: Session B

Building on introductory metalsmithing skills, this intermediate course focuses on precision, design development, and advanced techniques. Students will refine soldering, fabrication, finishing, surface treatments, forming, and stone-setting skills while creating instructor-guided projects. This repeatable course offers varied techniques and projects each session. Some experience required.
Students will learn to:
• Refine soldering, fabrication, and finishing skills for complex assemblies
• Execute various stone-setting methods including bezel, prong, tube, and multi-stone techniques
• Design and fabricate multi-component jewelry such as a ring or earrings
• Strengthen understanding of design principles and project planning
• Demonstrate intermediate craftsmanship and creative interpretation in finished work
