Tubular Bead Crochet Workshop

Learn the fun and creative technique of crocheting in the round with beads to make beaded ropes, bracelets, and necklace charms. In this two-session class, students will first practice with larger materials before advancing to smaller beads and thread for a polished finish. Students should know how to hold a crochet hook and make chain and slip stitches. Bring size D and G crochet hooks; all other materials provided.
Marsha Borden
MARSHA BORDEN holds a B.S. Ed. degree from State University of New York at Geneseo, a M.S. Ed. degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, and post-graduate certification from the University of Connecticut. She is currently studying at Rhode Island School of Design. Marsha maintains her own studio and exhibits nationally and locally, most recently at Kehler Liddell Gallery and Ely Center of Contemporary Art, both in New Haven. Her work with upcycled materials has been featured in juried craft shows, including at Creative Arts Workshop’s Celebration of American Crafts in New Haven.
