Crystal Glaze Workshop
Adult | Registration opens 11/15/2026 8:00 PM EDT
This class offers intermediate and advanced students the opportunity to explore the art of creating crystal glazes using the electric kiln. Students will throw porcelain pieces designed to showcase these unique glazes, incorporating catchers to contain the flowing glaze.
Pieces will be fired to Cone 9 with a carefully controlled slow-cooling schedule to encourage the growth of large, vibrant crystals in a variety of colors. Students will experiment with glaze combinations and firing techniques to create one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces.
This class meets on the following 4 sessions: 1/16 and 1/23, then 2/13 and 2/20
