Learn to design a personal cartoon avatar and turn memories into comics. This course offers a unique space for reflection and connection. No prior drawing experience required. This class has a required materials list.

Megan Jeffery
Megan Jeffery is an illustrator, teaching artist, and alumna of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). She designed this Graphic Memoir workshop out of a deep love for the genre and a desire to help older adults celebrate and share their wealth of memories and life anecdotes. An active creator of diary comics, Megan brings firsthand experience to her teaching. She's successfully taught this content at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UConn Waterbury and at Artsplace in Cheshire, focusing on building creative confidence week by week, to ensure that participants of all artistic backgrounds can successfully bring their life histories to the page.
