Jazz Up Your Jeans With Eco-Applique Mending Workshop

Adult Online Workshop | This class has been canceled

Visible mending is a hot new trend for the eco-conscious who want to breathe new life into old, torn or holey garments. But what about those of us who haven’t yet worn holes through our clothing? Is there a way we can be environmentally friendly, look fashionably trendy, and use what we have, all at the same time? Yes! Join us as we explore easy appliqué techniques and simple hand-stitch to create the look of visible mending on jeans, tops, and tunics. Bring your own garments and eco-scrap fabrics (old lace, denim, dishcloths, flannel shirts, favorite outdated clothing, etc.) for an afternoon of inspired trendy “mending.”

  • Students bring:
  • Jeans, tops, tunics to “mend”
  • Favorite fabrics/findings – lace, frayed denim, flannel, etc.
