Abstract Painting Workshop

Play and embrace paint from a place of no judgment. We will focus on experimenting with abstract painting. Subjects explored are color theory, color mixing, brush techniques, paint handling, layering, and composition. This is a jump start to any creative painting practices.
- This supply list is just a guideline.
- o 4 Canvas or canvas panels 16x 20 or larger
- o 5-10 brushes, various brush sizes.
- o Acrylic Paints
- o Plastic Kitchen Gloves (not that necessary with acrylic paint but always good to have on hand.) o Plastic containers Yogurt containers, plastic Tupperware etc.)
- o Palette (or disposable palette)
- o Palette knife for mixing paint
- o Painting Rags (old cotton t-shirts make great rags) o Cardboard 4”x10” or larger
- o Blue painters tape
- Suggested Paint Colors
- (Just make sure to have the primary colors (red, yellow, blue) and black + white)
- o Titanium White 8oz
- o Lamp or Ivory black (8oz tube) o Napthol Red or Cadmium Red
- o Cadmium Y ellow
- o Y ellow Ochre
- o Thalo Blue
- o French (Ultramarine)
- o Permanent Green Light
- o Thalo Green or Viridian
- o Alizarin Crimson
- o Bright Magenta
- o Burnt Sienna
- o Burnt Umber
- o Raw Umber

Shilo is represented by Bryant Street Gallery, Palo Alto, CA and MIKA Gallery, Tel Aviv, Israel. Her paintings have been exhibited from coast to coast and included in numerous publications.
