Class Description

Wheel throwing skills and advanced techniques for continuing students. This session will focus on improving skills and exploring new designs and glazing techniques. Students are encouraged to come with a challenging project in mind. Tuition includes bench time: Thursdays 6:30-9:30pm
Each ceramics class will have a single, dedicated, 3-hour practice session that is associated with it. As part of our safety protocols, we are minimizing mingling between class cohorts and keeping groupings small. Thank you for your understanding.

Special Notes

Students’ clay must be purchased in class ($29 or $32/bag); tool kits ($14 + tax) also available. Please bring cash or check. Lab and clay fees cover costs of firings and glaze materials.

Claudia Schiavone

CLAUDIA SCHIAVONE holds a BA in Ceramics from Southern Connecticut State University. She has taught courses in Adult Education, Branford After School Program and at Guilford Art Center. Claudia has been a long-time studio assistant at Guilford Art Center and has exhibited in both Oregon and Connecticut.
