Gelli plate printing is a perfect indoor activity. It's fun, easily learned and produces great results. Best of all, gel plate printing does not require a printing press, lots of expensive materials or a large work space. Single or multiple layer prints can stand alone as finished works of art or they can be used in the making of cards, collages and journal pages. And the same techniques can also be used on fabric!

  • Supplies Needed:
  • Gelli Plate 8"x10" [Recommended however students are welcome to choose another size.]
  • Soft rubber brayer [Not foam.]
  • Any type of acrylic paints.
  • A variety of papers - card stock, drawing paper, watercolor paper. Although copy paper has a tendency to curl and ripple it's OK to use for your first prints. NOTE: Do not use glossy papers.
  • Paper towels and a spray bottle of water.
  • Scissors
  • Pencil and eraser
