Weaving Twisted Threads 8/7-11 Week 8
Youth Class | This class is completed
This is a weaving class that entails working with the tradition of weaving with yarn and wooden dowels as opposed to a loom. The main focus will be on the creation of the traditional 4-point God’s Eye of the Huichol Indians of Mexico and will extend into the creation of an 8-point mandala created by locking two God’s Eye together. Mixed media such as beads, crystal and metal charms, and feathers will be incorporated into young artist’s designs. Please note that the Ojo de Dios does not have religious implications.
- Reduced tuition on youth classes requires a family membership. For a full-day program, a morning class may be combined with an afternoon class. Supervised "bridge" care is available for these students, between 12-1PM, for an additional $25 per week.
