The secret to taking great portraits is to observe your subjects, connect with them, and use your camera to its best advantage. This intensive workshop will help to guide you through the workings of your DSLR camera, and improving your portraiture skills - upgrading your photos from snapshots to professional quality images. We’ll discuss several very simple techniques in composition, camera placement, and natural and artificial light to help your portraits improve significantly. This course will include lecture, hands-on demonstration, and time for students to apply their new skills under the guidance of the instructor. There are no prerequisites for this class, but basic understanding of photography is assumed. This course is designed for students who have access to a DSLR camera.
