Light is a very curious thing, indeed. Believe it or not, light moves in waves like water, and is made of particles, like sand. Without light we could not see anything. Depending on the kind of light, it can also change HOW we see everyday things. For centuries artists have been inspired by the curiosities of light. By learning how to use art to create different moods and environments, students will explore how installation artists use light to create art.

Teresa holds a B.A. in Art History and an M.S. in Historic Preservation. Previously, she worked at the Getty Museum, the UCLA Fowler Museum of Cultural History, and currently teaches early-childhood art education at the Mattress Factory. In addition to art pedagogy, Teresa is a freelance conservator specializing in outdoor sculpture, architecture and monuments. Originally from Southern California - with a dash of adventures around the globe - Teresa has made Sewickley her home
