Travel the world as you explore cuisine from near and far. Students will travel to a new country each day including Mexico, Germany and France. On the last day, children will learn about famous foods in our own hometown of Pittsburgh and how they became popular in our diverse city. Appropriate cooking fundamentals, food safety, cooking terms and supervised knife skills will be taught. Students will eat the food they have prepared during each class. Due to the nature of this camp, Sweetwater is unable to accommodate food allergies/dietary restrictions. Students should bring a cutting board and a chef’s knife with them to camp. Please label your child’s materials with a permanent marker.
