Chef Alekka shows you the “tricks of the trade” to make delicious homemade marshmallows, snickers bars, jumbo peanut butter cups and pecan turtles! Whether you share them or not, they'll be a treat!

A supply list of everything you'll need will be sent in plenty of time so you're set for the class. You may already have most of what you need at home!

This workshop is held live via Zoom.

  • Marshmallows:
  • 3 packages unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup ice cold water, divided
  • 12 ounces granulated sugar, approximately 1 1/2 cups
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • Peanut Butter Cups:
  • 16 oz semisweet chocolate chopped
  • 1/2 cup creamy natural peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • 1.75 oz confectioner's sugar, by weight (1/4 cup+2 tbsp, measured), sifted
  • Snickers Bars:
  • 2 cups chocolate chips divided into two 1 cup portions
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter divided into three 1/4 cup portions
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk or heavy whipping cream divided into two 1/4 cup portions
  • 7 oz tub marshmallow cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups salted peanuts
  • 1 bag caramels 11 oz
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch Nonstick spray
  • Turtles:
  • 8 ounces pecan halves (I used roasted, lightly salted)
  • 25 caramel squares, unwrapped (about 1 heaping cup)
  • 1/4 cup cream or half-and-half, divided
  • 16 ounces roughly chopped chocolate, melted
  • Sea salt, optional for sprinkling
