Fiber art is returning as a popular craft everywhere you turn! Join in on the fun in this four week introductory course and learn about the essential tools and techniques of this fun and accessible craft.

Students will make usable, durable and attractive fiber art items while learning the basics of punch needle embroidery as they design and create a punch needle trivet and four punch needle coasters

This class will also include some hand sewing but prior experience is not necessary!

  • A $45 materials kit must be purchased and paid to Sweetwater on the first day of class (cash, check or credit card welcome). The kit maybe used multiples times for other classes or for fun at home!
  • The kit includes:
  • 1 Oxford Punch Needle
  • 2 pieces of Monk’s Cloth (16 x 16“square, sewn with zigzag stitch)
  • Morgan No-Slip Embroidery 12” Hoop
  • Folder with Resources, Tips & Instructions
  • 1 Sharpie Marker
  • Additional items such as yarn, fabric scissors, stencils felt, embroidery needles, tapestry thread, fabric cord and an iron/ironing board are provided. Students are welcomed and encouraged to bring these items if owned.
