Holbein Oil Colors Workshop with Legion Paper and General Pencil

Please join us for a two hour ‘hands-on’ workshop exploring the Holbein professional oil color range of products including Holbein Oil Colors, Holbein Duo water-mixable oils, Vernet Oils, and all the various mediums offered.  Additionally we will explore the various products offered by Legion Paper and General Pencil including a wide range of Legion’s fine paper products and General Pencil’s range of graphite, charcoal, erasers, and brush cleaners.

ALL MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED for you to try. You do not need to bring anything.  

This workshop is to familiarize you with these products and to allow you to try all of them, ‘hands-on’.  You try all the various products and learn about what makes a fine grade of oil paint as well as the paper based products and drawing materials offered by Legion and General Pencil.  

If you have ever had questions about oil paint or water-mixable oils – or if you use these products now… this workshop is for you.  Additionally, there are many paper products like the Legion Paper for oil painting that you will try.  And of course, we will try a range of the fine drawing materials provided by General Pencil.

Holbein Oil Colors

Holbein Oil Color is a world-class Artist Oil Color range that utilized the purest of available pigments and is manufactured to the highest standards of quality control in the industry. 

Duo water-soluble oil offers 100 highly pigmented Artist Grade Colors suspended in a water soluble cold pressed linseed oil.  Duo is compatible with all media including traditional oil color and mediums, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, acrylic gouache and acrylic.  Duo is an excellent teaching tool and a superb printmaking ink. 

The Vernet line offers 40 traditional colors in 20ml tubes utilizing pure single pigments and the finest quality refined linseed oil.  Vernet colors offer oil painters superior adhesion, tinting strength, durability, smooth texture and excellent lightfast rating with high chroma, transparency and pigment density.  Vernet colors will product clean, non-muddy results when mixed. 

Additionally, Holbein offers a full range of oil painting mediums in both traditional and water-soluble mediums.
