Shelley Goodman
Shelley graduated with a Fine Arts degree in surface design from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She moved to NYC and launched a thriving costume jewelry business, selling across the U.S. and in Japan. Always ahead of the trends, she later shifted into fun, fashion-forward kids' accessories—coining the name “Boyfriend Bedrest” and creating popular faux fur loungers, bean bags, and pillows.
About 15 years ago, Shelley brought her creative spark to Beth Sholom Day Camp, eventually leading the art department. For the past 7 years, she’s also taught after-school art classes in Port Washington, where she LOVES working with kids—encouraging them to experiment, get messy, and trust their creativity. Her favorite message: in art, there’s no right or wrong—just joy in the process!
