Learn how to paint feathers and whimsical watercolor wreaths! In this fun and engaging workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn and explore a variety of watercolor techniques and apply them to your very own feather and wreath creations. Whether you’re new to watercolor or a more seasoned watercolorist, come explore how meditative yet playful watercolor wreath painting can be!

Watercolor Paper- 140 lb cold pressed paper (block or pad) Any size you’re comfortable with.
Watercolor Brushes- 2 Rounds @ size 2 and 6. Helpful but not necessary: Liner/Rigger brush
Watercolor Paints of your choice
2 plastic containers or jars
Palette for mixing paint in
Pencil
Paper Towel, Tissues, or Absorbent Cloth
Kerri Shiekman
Kerri Shiekman is a Port Washington resident. She received a B.A. in Studio Art and a Master’s Degree in Art Education from Adelphi University, and has student taught at Weber Middle School in Port Washington. Kerri is an award winning artist and has shown her work across Long Island for nearly 20 years. She predominately works with watercolor but has a strong background in drawing, painting, mixed media, and sculpture. Kerri is looking forward to sharing her love of art with the students at The Art Guild.
