High Focus: Anatomy Drawing -

This course provides an in-depth study of human anatomy as it applies to the visual arts, with particular emphasis on the skeletal and muscular systems. Students will examine the structure and function of the body to gain a clear understanding of how form, proportion, and movement are governed by anatomical principles.

Through lectures, demonstrations, and extensive studio practice, students will work directly from live models for a portion of the class as well as from an anatomical skeleton to analyze the figure and translate anatomical knowledge into accurate and expressive drawings.
Instruction will focus on both structural accuracy and artistic interpretation, with the goal of strengthening observational skills and enhancing the ability to depict the human form convincingly.
These classes are beneficial for artists looking to improve figure drawing skills, understand form, and create dynamic poses.
