Portraiture Drawing – 7-Week Course
This 7-week course introduces students to the art of drawing expressive and well-proportioned portraits. Through clear demonstrations and guided practice, students will learn how to observe the human face, understand its structure, and translate what they see onto paper with confidence.
Each session focuses on essential skills, from establishing accurate proportions to shaping individual features and developing subtle shading. Students will work from photographs and simple observation, learning practical methods for correcting mistakes and building a strong foundation in portrait drawing.

- Optional: Vine/Willow Charcoal Sticks, Charcoal Pencils (Soft)
Kevin Yen
Kevin came to the United States from Taiwan to pursue his education in fine art and illustration. He studied painting, illustration, and photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has over three decades of experience in the art industry which includes freelance work with Marvel and DC Comics. Kevin's art work is sought after by private collectors and some of his clients have been Pier One, St. Francis College, Nike, and Make-A-Wish.
