Simple and Sophisticated Relief Printmaking 2 with Stephanie

Continue to explore the many ways to create and print a relief block. Multiple color, chin colle’, and reduction techniques will be covered as time permits.
This workshop is geared to those who have previous experience with relief printmaking, However, if you are a beginner, this workshop will be geared to you as well. Whether new to relief printmaking or if you have taken the last workshop here, come with enthusiasm to learn something new or continue more in depth relief printmaking.

  • Open to all levels

  • Please bring: block, 4 x 6  (beginner),
    Those who are continuing can use the block they originally made, or purchase another block, any size.

    Black/White (pos./neg) design on tracing paper to the same size of the block.

    Baren or wooden spoon

    Linoleum speedball tool  (If you would like to borrow one for the workshop please let us know.

Stephanie Navon-Jacobson

Teaching is a passion of Stephanie's. After receiving her master’s degree in 2001 she joined the faculty at St John’s University. She also teaches at Great Neck Community Education, the Art League of Long Island and the Art Guild of Port Washington.  

Stephanie has exhibited all over, including The Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT, National Arts Club, NYC, Islip Art Museum, Heckscher Museum, Nassau County Fine Arts Museum and the Shenzhen Art Institute, China. Her work is in the permanent collections of Queensborough Community College, New York University School of Law, the American Paralysis Association and private collections throughout the United States, Canada, Norway and Israel. Stephanie has been a juror for the Suburban Art League, the National Art League, Tri County Artists, the Long Beach Art Association and the Port Washington Art Guild.
