Studio Art Exploration: Portraiture
Suggested for students in Middle school and high school. This 2 hour workshop will develop their observation skills related to portraits. They’ll learn about various portrait artists throughout history and how to develop the human face. From there, they will learn how to develop various levels of value through one color, creating art work that and a skill that will continue to grow and develop over time.
Suggested for children ages 11+
- Workshops are confirmed one week prior to the start date so please register as soon as possible. There is a chance workshops will be canceled if there is low enrollment.

Sarah Ely
Sarah Ely is a long-time lover of everything art. She enjoys exploring her emotions through her abstract paintings and drawings, while occasionally diving into digital art. Sarah has taught for the past 4 years at Woodward Children's Center in Freeport for students with special needs. Her teaching philosophy is to make sure all students feel welcomed by demonstrating how art is accessible to all.
