Adult Classes | Available
This hands-on class introduces students to the traditional foundations of oil painting, beginning before the first brushstroke is made. Students will learn how to properly prepare a painting surface by stretching canvas, applying oil ground, and creating a toned ground. We will then move into drawing transfer, compositional placement, and the development of an underpainting to establish values, form, and structure.
