Drawing Fundamentals Made Easy: Learn to See Like an Artist (Mondays)

Adult Classes | Available

Learn to see and draw the world around you with confidence in this welcoming beginner-friendly drawing class. Through a series of engaging exercises and still life studies, students will develop essential drawing skills including line, shape, form, proportion, value, and shading. Guided by artist and educator Brandasund Peterson, students will learn how to break down complex subjects into simple shapes, refine their drawings through observation, and create the illusion of depth and volume using light and shadow. Along the way, you'll explore techniques such as contour drawing, block-in sketching, negative space, and a variety of shading methods. Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or returning to drawing after many years, this class provides a supportive environment to build your skills, strengthen your observation, and develop a solid foundation for future artistic growth. No prior drawing experience is necessary.
