The Expressive Landscape in Pastel with Donna Levinstone

Landscapes have often been described as a mirror of the soul. Constable referred to the sky as the "chief organ of sentiment". In this workshop we will explore various artistic styles and also how color and lighting dictate mood.
We will use both color and monochrome soft pastel. Reference material will be provided.
All levels of students are welcome.
Black paper will be provided so students can experiment with color and technique, see samples below

Donna Levinstone
Donna Levinstone is an artist/educator who has who has worked in pastel for over thirty years. Her work has been featured in many art magazines, Dan's Papers and The New York Times. Donna's pastel drawings have been exhibited widely in galleries and museums and are a part of many corporate and private collections.
Donna has run many art workshops with the belief that gentle guidance and instruction can help each artist find their own creative language.
