Artists will travel back in time to a

faraway land, nearby cottage or

garden of yesteryear. Photo

references provided. All art

materials and levels welcome!


Sessions are non-instructional but

a demo and guidance is offered.


Weekly topics could include:

• Castles in the Dordogne Valley

• Rainy days in Rome

• Wallpapered Rooms w tall

  ceilings

• Cars in The Godfather

• Grandfather Clocks

• Tara & Scarlett

• 1960’s Stewardess Uniforms


    • *Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date so there is a chance Classes will be canceled if there is low enrollment. Your payment will be fully refunded if the Class is canceled.

    • This class is open medium...Use whatever medium you are comfortable working in.

    Paintbrush is in hand whenever Michelle is on the road, bus or train, or flying through the air.

    You might find her sketching in a restaurant, park bench, baseball stadium and definitely at a picnic.

     

    A graphic designer by trade and education, Michelle watched her mother paint in watercolor and learned old-school style: practice, practice, practice. Still studying today, Michelle takes a variety of painting classes to hone her craft. Her graphic design business now includes illustration and watercolor commissions of house and pet portraits, scenics, authors and illustrated maps.

     

    Michelle has taught several classes at The Art Guild and recently led her first painting retreat in the Adirondacks.

    Second annual retreat planned for August, 2026.

     

    Michelle has also created a painting group called Suburban Sketchers! We Gather. Paint. And share.
