Drawing Beyond the Basics: See Like an Artist
Adult Classes | Available
Looking to move beyond basic drawing? Learn how artists observe, simplify, and interpret the world around them to create drawings with greater impact and personality.
Working from still lifes and everyday objects, you'll explore how changes in composition, line, shape, and value can dramatically change the mood and character of a drawing. Through demonstrations, guided exercises, and individual instruction, you'll strengthen your observational skills while learning to make thoughtful artistic choices rather than simply copying what you see.
You'll experiment with different ways to approach the same subject, discovering which techniques and drawing methods feel most natural to you. As you gain confidence, you'll begin to develop a style that reflects your own artistic interests while creating drawings that are more expressive, engaging, and uniquely your own.
Recommended for advanced beginners and intermediate artists with some prior drawing experience.
