The Art of Glass Etching

Adult Classes | Available

Create beautiful, one-of-a-kind etched glass pieces in this fun, beginner-friendly class. Learn how to transform ordinary glass into elegant, personalized artwork using easy-to-learn etching techniques.

Through demonstrations and hands-on instruction, you'll learn how to plan a design, transfer imagery, create patterns, and achieve crisp, professional-looking results. Create your own glassware, vases, candle holders, decorative pieces, and more.

No previous experience or drawing skills are necessary.

  • Required Supplies
    Students will need the following supplies for class:

    • Cricut Premium Removable Vinyl
    • Cricut Value Transfer Tape (5.5" × 30')
    • Painter's Tape
    • Glass Etching Cream

    For convenience, a complete supply kit is available for purchase for $40, or students may purchase the supplies on their own.

    Glass Items – Optional $15 Add-On
    The instructor can provide a selection of glass items to personalize for an additional $15, or students are welcome to bring their own clean glass items from home.

Elizabeth Ramjit

Elizabeth Ramjit is an award-winning filmmaker, video producer, visual storyteller, and digital media educator. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, her documentary work has received national and international recognition, including screenings at the Guggenheim Museum and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).

As both a working media professional and dedicated educator, Elizabeth brings real-world industry experience into every class. She teaches media literacy, visual storytelling, video production, content creation, and creative technology, helping students build practical skills while developing their own unique creative voice.

A proud Long Island native, Elizabeth believes creativity is for everyone and that every artist has a story worth telling. Her engaging, supportive teaching style encourages students to explore new ideas, build confidence, and discover the power of visual storytelling.
