Curious about Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or YouTube? Wondering what Reels, Stories, hashtags, and posts actually are? This beginner-friendly class is designed for artists and creative adults who want to confidently navigate today's digital world. Learn how to take better photos with your smartphone, iPad, tablet, or laptop, photograph your artwork, create engaging posts, and understand how artists, museums, and creative organizations use social media to share their work and connect with audiences. Through hands-on guidance from award-winning filmmaker and visual storyteller Elizabeth Ramjit, you'll gain practical creative skills while becoming more comfortable with the technology you already own.


  • - Class is confirmed 1 week prior to start and may be cancelled due to low enrollment

  • - The suggested ages are guidelines only; please contact us if you have questions

    A few photos or examples of your artwork (optional) to practice photographing, editing, and sharing during class

    No prior technology or social media experience is required. Students will work at their own pace using the device they already own.

Elizabeth Ramjit

Elizabeth Ramjit is an award-winning filmmaker, video producer, visual storyteller, and digital media educator. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, her documentary work has received national and international recognition, including screenings at the Guggenheim Museum and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).

As both a working media professional and dedicated educator, Elizabeth brings real-world industry experience into every class. She teaches media literacy, visual storytelling, video production, content creation, and creative technology, helping students build practical skills while developing their own unique creative voice.

A proud Long Island native, Elizabeth believes creativity is for everyone and that every artist has a story worth telling. Her engaging, supportive teaching style encourages students to explore new ideas, build confidence, and discover the power of visual storytelling.
