Glass Etching with Elizabeth Ramjit

Workshop | Available

Learn the art of glass etching in this hands-on 2-hour workshop! Create a personalized glass piece using pre-cut designs, positive sayings, fun shapes/designs, and custom initial monograms.
Choose from a variety of designs and combine elements to create something personal or make a unique handmade gift.

You’ll learn how to prepare your glass, position your design, apply etching cream, and safely reveal your finished etched design. 

No previous experience necessary.


Students should bring: Up to 3 small to medium glass items of your choice that are suitable for glass etching.

Examples include a glass vase, drinking glasses/tumblers/mug, jar, candle holders, mirror, or other smooth glass surface. Feel free to reach out with any questions. 


Instructor will provide:

  • Etching cream
  • Protective gloves
  • Masks
  • Brushes
  • Painter’s tape
  • Pre-cut designs and positive sayings
  • Initial monogram options

 

  • Students are responsible for bringing their own glass (see note in description).
    Etching supplies and tools will be class-shared and provided by TAG.

Elizabeth Ramjit

Elizabeth Ramjit is an award-winning filmmaker, video producer, visual storyteller, and digital media educator. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, her documentary work has received national and international recognition, including screenings at the Guggenheim Museum and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).

As both a working media professional and dedicated educator, Elizabeth brings real-world industry experience into every class. She teaches media literacy, visual storytelling, video production, content creation, and creative technology, helping students build practical skills while developing their own unique creative voice.

A proud Long Island native, Elizabeth believes creativity is for everyone and that every artist has a story worth telling. Her engaging, supportive teaching style encourages students to explore new ideas, build confidence, and discover the power of visual storytelling.
