Interested in applying to a specialized visual arts college or submit your AP Art & Design Portfolio?

Join this intensive summer class to get a jump start! In this Summer College Portfolio Intensive, Linda Haase Kane, an expert in visual arts will help students develop a unique and high-quality art portfolio. Students will receive personal attention to tailor projects to fit their needs. The focus will be on creating and strengthening existing works that will form a part of a competitive portfolio for admission to top art and design colleges and for the AP Art and Design Portfolio. In addition to one-on-one consultation, we will provide open studio time during the summer at The Art Guild - giving students an inspiring place to work on their projects.

This program is specifically geared toward rising juniors and seniors who are looking to apply to Art Schools as well as students enrolled in AP Art and Design looking to submit their portfolios. Get a head start this summer before the school year begins!

Linda Haase Kane

Linda Haase Kane is a Visual Arts Teacher within the Great Neck Public School system and theater programs and a practicing artist. Over the last 8 years she has taught a variety of media and subjects within the visual arts, such as Studio Art, Ceramics, Digital Design, Architectural Drawing, and Fashion Illustration.

In 2015, Linda graduated at the top of her class from Adelphi University with a MFA in Art Education. Prior to this, she graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Media Arts, and went on to work in Marketing and Advertising for twenty years. During this time she worked primarily in print, developing creative branded content irrespective of scale, from everyday informational brochures to Times Square billboards, for clients including Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, Maxell and Johnny Walker.
