Decorating Cookies for the Holidays

Comm Ed - Culinary | This program is completed

Cookie decorating for the holidays! We do all the hard work so you can have all the fun - cookies are baked and frosting is made, and you get to learn how to work with Chef Marks' signature glaze icing. Learn how to outline, fill, and decorate your perfectly iced sugar cookies, plus how to properly store them so they're fresh through December. You'll decorate cookies shaped as Santa Claus, Ms. Claus, Christmas gnomes, holiday sweaters, Christmas trees, snowflakes, and elf-boots! And get creative - these skills absolutely can carry over to other seasons. Leave with a dozen decorated cookies (unless you start snacking in class!) and the recipes for everything.

  • Ages Requirement: Ages 14 & up. Kids between the ages of 10-13 may enroll with a registered adult.

Marks, Kelli
Kelli Marks

Kelli Marks has been baking professionally for 20 years. Kelli learned her way around the kitchen as most Southern women do, under the tutelage of her grandmother. Many people might recognize Kelli from her bakery, Sweet Love, where she was well-known for her wedding cakes - of which she has made over 500. Kelli and creations have been featured in Southern Living, Southern Bride, Eat Smarter (a German food magazine), Weddings in Arkansas, Arkansas Bride, among others. In 2021, Kelli wrote her first cookbook, Easy One Bowl Baking: No-Fuss Recipes for Sweet and Savory Baked Goods. Kelli is the 2023 Central Arkansas ACF chapter Pastry Chef of the Year, the 2024 Central Region ACF Pastry Chef of the Year, and the second-place 2024 National ACF Pastry Chef of the Year and she’s ready to teach you everything she knows.
