Time to wow friends and family at the approaching holiday gathering with your enviable cake decorating skills: borders and scrollwork and swags, ruffles, and swirling roses - you'll master the buttercream piping techniques! In this class, you will learn how to frost and decorate a holiday-themed cake with an elegant wreath. The cakes will be vanilla-flavored with vanilla buttercream frosting, and they will be ready for their final frost and decoration to allow participants plenty of time to experiment, practice, and decorate. Chef Kim will show you how to fill and crumb-coat a cake before showing you how to final frost and decorate your stunning centerpiece cake. These cakes can also be made ahead of time and frozen until needed, making them perfect gifts for the holidays. Chef Kim will even show you how to package your creations to make them the perfect gift for friends and family - holiday gift shopping DONE!
Ages Requirement: Ages 14 & up. Kids between the ages of 10-13 may enroll with a registered adult.

Community Education Class Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be issued if registration is canceled at least 7 days prior to the start of class. Cancellations made less than 7 days from the class date will not receive a refund unless the class spot can be sold. On the chance that UA-TC must cancel a class, registrants will have the choice of receiving a full refund or transferring to another Community Education class.
Kim Jeffers
Chef Kim Jeffers is a graduate of the Pastry program at UA-PTC and a current instructor. She is aso a current Culinary student at UA-PTC and has a keen interest in the sweet and savory. She has been cooking and baking since she could stand on a chair beside her mother and grandma in the kitchen. Her absolute favorite things to bake are pies and pastries. She is fascinated by the complexities of food and exploring the endless possibilities as a teacher and life-long learner. Her husband and 4 boys motivate and encourage her in the kitchen and make for excellent live-in taste testers and food critics to ensure her classes produce only the most delicious dishes and bakes.
