Nature Series at Witt Stephens Jr. Nature Center: Backyard Birding

This FREE introductory nature course is for all who wish to learn more about the beautiful birds that can be found in their own backyards! The Natural State has so many different feathered friends that contribute to our great outdoors, and as part of the Mississippi Flyway, there are fantastic opportunities to identify new bird species throughout the year. You'll learn everything you need to know to bird well from wildlife experts with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, from how to identify to how to attract birds and even take part in citizen science projects. Bring the whole family, and come to the Witt Stephens Jr. Nature Center to experience the majesty of birds and learn about why conservation of all of nature's creatures is so important.
If the weather is nice, students may partake in outdoor activities, so wear APPROPRIATE CLOTHES and COMFORTABLE SHOES.
The class is free, but availability is limited, so please STILL REGISTER.
Age Requirements: Ages 14 and up. All participants between the ages of 5-13 must be accompanied by an adult.
