FREE Nature Class: Blue Bird Box-Making Workshop
Comm Ed - Lifestyle | Available
This FREE introductory nature course is for all who would like to start their Valentine's Day by making a lil' love nest for the sweet blue birds looking for a home in your area. Add little gems of blue to your backyard by inviting these beautiful creatures to nest in the box you construct, and learn more about where, when, and how to install the perfect bird home for our flying friends. Learn from the nature experts of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission why wildlife conservation is so important, and bring the whole family to the Witt Stephens Jr. Nature Center this Valentine's Day to celebrate the great outdoors.
The class is free, but availability is limited, so please STILL REGISTER. Also, there is a limited number of pre-measured kit boxes available, so 1 kit box will be provided to each (human) family; individual participants will make their own.
All materials and tools provided. Ear plugs will be provided, but hammering may prove too loud to particularly sensitive ears, so if you have your own preferred hearing protection, it is recommended you bring it.
Ages Requirement: Ages 14 & up. All participants between the ages of 5-13 must be accompanied by an adult.
