FREE Nature Class: Nature Journaling & Native Plant Walk

This FREE introductory nature course is for the ultimate conservationist enthusiast! Come create and decorate your own natural journal before going outside (weather permitting) to tour the Nature Center's native plant garden. Class topics will cover Leave No Trace (LNT), how to set up a wildlife viewing station at home, how to use multiple senses as you are outdoors nature journaling, and fun nature journal challenges for you to take home and do on your own. Learn from the nature experts of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission why wildlife conservation is so important, and bring the whole family to the Witt Stephens Jr. Nature Center to truly appreciate and celebrate the great outdoors.

Weather permitting, participants will partake in outdoor activities, so wear APPROPRIATE CLOTHES and COMFORTABLE SHOES.

All journaling materials provided. The class is free, but availability and materials are limited, so please STILL REGISTER. 

  • Ages Requirement: Ages 14 & up. All participants between the ages of 5-13 must be accompanied by an adult.
