International Series: Flavors of Iceland

Journey into the unique culinary world of Iceland, a country that has become quite the tourist hot spot in the last few years. Clean flavors, Nordic traditions, and a deep connection to the land and sea shape every meal. In this hands-on class, you’ll explore the techniques and ingredients that define Icelandic cooking, from pristine seafood and hearty grains, to simple, comforting preparations that highlight natural freshness. Along the way, you’ll learn how Iceland’s geography, climate, and centuries-old customs have influenced its food culture, creating a cuisine that’s both ancient and surprisingly modern. You’ll leave with new skills, inspired recipes, and a deeper appreciation for the flavors and heritage of Iceland.  

International Cuisine Series: cost is $85 per class, or you can save 10% if you'd like to BUNDLE the 3-class series for a total of $229.50 ($25.50 in savings) - Argentinian, Icelandic, and German Cuisine.   • Ages Requirement: Ages 14 & up. Kids between the ages of 10-13 may enroll with a registered adult.

    Community Education Class Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be issued if registration is canceled at least 7 days prior to the start of class. Cancellations made less than 7 days from the class date will not receive a refund unless the class spot can be sold. On the chance that UA-PTC must cancel a class, registrants will have the choice of receiving a full refund or transferring to another Community Education class.

Jill Cramer

Jill Cramer is a classically trained chef with both culinary and baking degrees and a passion for global flavors. She has traveled extensively around the world, studying food traditions firsthand and weaves those experiences into her teaching. Jill has served as an adjunct professor in culinary arts, and she continues to work as a freelance chef and caterer. She also contributes her expertise to event planning and helps run several successful businesses alongside her husband. Her classes blend technique, culture, and creativity, inviting students to explore the world one dish at a time.
