Yard Landscaping Series: Maintenance & Final Landscape Plan

Winter is closing in fast, so it's time to act now and create that dream yard and watch as it effortlessly comes to bloom in springtime. There's seasonal maintenance to be done, and game plans to be made: watering schedules, fertilizing basics, weed management, pruning, cleanup, and this class is ready for you with budget-friendly landscaping ideas that you can implement yourself as part of your yard's masterful landscape plan. Be the envy of the neighborhood next year with a bountiful, lush yard and garden that you've designed yourself. Participants will leave with a study guide containing all the tips and topics discussed and the passion to enact their landscaping plans at home.
Weather permitting, this class will be partially OUTSIDE, so check the weather and wear APPROPRIATE CLOTHES and COMFORTABLE SHOES. And, of course, you'll be handling dirt, so dress accordingly!
All gardening equipment is provided, and some gardening gloves will be available, though you may wish to bring your own gloves.

Community Education Class Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be issued if registration is canceled at least 7 days prior to the start of class. Cancellations made less than 7 days from the class date will not receive a refund unless the class spot can be sold. On the chance that UA-PTC must cancel a class, registrants will have the choice of receiving a full refund or transferring to another Community Education class.
- If possible, participants are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves.

Larry Westmoreland's love of gardening goes back to his childhood, working with his father in Moscow, AR. He joined NLR's "Fit 2 Live" program, and for the past 12 years, he has coordinated garden outreach services throughout the state. He is the current outreach coordinator and garden manager for the Veterans Trail Garden greenhouse in NLR, which grows seedlings for 35 raised beds in central AR. He also initiated "Share the Garden", a program that helps folks obtain homegrown produce grown in their backyards by making raised garden beds and providing members with the tools necessary to grow food.
