An immersive themed role-playing game experience for ages 10-12 who love creating characters, stories, and connecting with other RPG enthusiasts. RPGs are more popular than ever, with shows like Stranger Things and Critical Role bringing new players to the table. Odyssey League! is the perfect introduction to the world of fun, creativity, and community that makes tabletop RPGs so compelling.

The workshop includes character development art, including a lesson in painting their own minis, and an adventure that will be totally unique, limited only by the players own imaginations. All supplies provided; beginners are encouraged to join.

  • UA-PTC Community Education Cancellation Policy: 100% refund if cancelled at least 7 days before the class date. Cancellations occurring within 7 days of the class date will only receive a refund if the class spot can be sold.

  • Policy is used to ensure that courses offered have a minimum number of enrolled students. In the event that a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, all registrants will receive a full refund.

Mark Barnes has been teaching writing, video game design, and other technology-related classes in Central Arkansas since 2010. He is also a lifelong gamer, Nintendo fanboy, and RPG player and Game Master. He has a particular fondness for 90s PC RPGs. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Writing Studies before switching gears and pursuing his love of computer programming. He is currently working on his Master of Science in Computer Science at UALR.

Kim Kwee is an artist and art instructor who has taught for Arkansas Governor's School and a variety of summer arts programs for middle-school and high-school aged students. She is also an obsessed fan of tabletop RPGs and experienced Game Master. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art. She teaches full-time in Visual Arts at UA-PTC and coordinates their summer enrichment program in the arts, Teen College.
