Champagne, Prosecco, Cava- what’s the difference? In this course we will review the different methods in which sparkling wine can be made. We also will discuss the regions in which these wines are made, as well as differences in their flavor profiles. We will provide a list of suggested wines to purchase to sample during the class.

  • Community Education Class Enrollment Minimum Policy: In order to use teaching resources to their fullest, a Class Enrollment Minimum Policy is used to ensure that courses offered have a minimum number of enrolled students. Such a policy allows students to engage with a sufficient number of other learners in the classroom and also efficiently uses instructor time, thus facilitating the research and service portions of instructor obligations. In the event that a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, all registrants will receive a full refund.

Michele Pesula Kuegler holds Wine& Spirits Education Trust Certificates for Levels 2 & 3, both earned with distinction. In addition to her wine work, she also is the Editor in Chief at Think Tasty and Director of Aftercare and Community for Wasabi Ventures Stables. Prior to this she spent a decade as an elementary teacher.
