Collaborative Printmaking for a Cause
Youth Summer Camp | Registration opens 1/22/2025 9:00 AM EST
Join us for an exciting journey of creativity and collaboration as we explore the vibrant Mending Walls RVA mural project! In this class, students will work together to create collaborative projects—such as books, zines, or posters—that examine how their individual identities and experiences connect within the community. They’ll dive into the world of printmaking, using techniques like gelli printing and marbling to bring their ideas to life while discovering the importance of community and supporting one another. Through the lens of the Mending Walls project, which showcases local artists who engage and uplift Richmond neighborhoods, students will foster positive self and community images. By the end of the class, each student will leave with their own stunning printmaking artwork and a deeper appreciation for collaboration and the power of community expression!
- Students will go on walking field trips, please click the field trip permission button when signing up.
