Let's Tell a Tale: Creative Storytelling
Youth Summer Camp | Registration opens 1/22/2025 9:00 AM EST
In this performing arts camp, everyone will work together to create a story and then perform it! First, students will brainstorm ideas, create their own characters, and build the group narrative. Next, students will develop their storytelling skills through theater games and movement activities. The emphasis will be on stage presence, confidence, facial expression, and vocality. Students will also get creative with props and costumes. Then, at the end of the week, it’s showtime! Students will perform their story on Friday. For Week #3, the theme will be Animal Adventures; for Week #5, it will be Twisty Fairytales.
- It's important that students are available to attend ALL five days of camp. The preparation, rehearsals, and final performance are a team effort, and everyone is needed.
