A Little Art As A Treat: Fiber, Clay + Paper Arts Sampler (This class is only offered a few times a year)
Adult Multi-Week | Available
Try several kinds of art media while exploring your creativity. Paint a painting one week, then learn how to needle felt. Students use forms and plaster molds to make a tile in clay, then explore paper works by making a small book. Finally, they can fill a book with collages and drawings. Relax and create alongside others, as you explore new media in a low-stakes and friendly atmosphere.
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to info@visarts.org with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This class does not meet on 4/25 due to our yearly auction.
This studio is not wheel chair accessible due to a set of stairs.
Tori Qualls
Hi, I'm Tori! I love to paint and talk about art! In my work I try to reuse supplies and repurpose old fabrics to give them new life. My subject matter usually leans toward domestic scenes such as the home, and the incorporation of fibers help bring an expressive quality to my work. I love all mediums, but I use a lot of paper in my work in different collage forms.
