Introduction to Hand-Sewn Leatherworking: Accessories
Adult Multi-Week | Available
Learn how to design and sketch functional leather designs and get hands-on experience working with leather. Both beginners and advanced students will learn to make a wallet: learning how to understand functional three-dimensional design, creating the pattern, cutting the leather, and sewing the design together by hand. Finally, students will continue with functional and three-dimensional design by designing and making a small bag.
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to info@visarts.org with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
