Students will learn the fundamentals of building a stained glass panel or 3D object from start to finish. Lessons will encompass pattern design, glass scoring/breaking, grinding, foiling, soldering, framing, and applying various patinas. Each student will have made at least one piece they can bring home and immediately display at the end of the class.
- There is lead in the solder used, pregnant students should check with OBGYN before registering. Please wear closed-toe shoes. This class includes a "starter pack" of glass with the supply fee. Additional glass may want to be bought at a later date.
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to info@visarts.org with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
