Weave a Coaster Set on a Frame Loom

Adult Intensive | Available

Learn how to weave on a frame loom using a plain weave to make a set of handwoven coasters. We’ll first warp our looms so that two coasters can be woven using one warp. Then using a variety of different colors and weft faced/plain weave structure, we’ll weave our coasters. We’ll go over a couple different finishing techniques and cut our coasters off the looms finished and ready to take home.

  • Some prior weaving knowledge is helpful. All materials will be provided.
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to info@visarts.org with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
