Flameworking Glass Flora
Adult Intensive | Registration opens 4/9/2025 9:00 AM EDT
Explore the world of flameworking and sculpting with glass. You’ll learn basic sculpting and forming techniques for borosilicate glass on the torch and gain an understanding of welds and connections by constructing flowers and other organic forms.
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

Kristi Totoritis
Totoritis completed her BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond,VA majoring in crafts and material studies as well as painting in 2010. She completed a competitive internship residency in 2011 at the Chrysler Museum of Art Glass Studio and has continued to be faculty ever since. Recently Totoritis completed her Masters iof Visual Art with a focus in glass and print media from the Australian National University School of Art. She has studied both nationally and internationally at craft schools including Pilchuck Glass school, Pittsburgh glass Center, The Studio at Corning and Canberra Glassworks.
