Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. Screenprinting requires a good amount of arm strength and dexterity. Most time is spent on your feet .
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
Travis Robertson
Raised on a tomato farm in Hanover county, Travis Robertson honed his squeegee skills in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley at the art department of James Madison University. From 2003-2007 he served as the assistant editor of The Drama, a quarterly arts magazine for contemporary art, design, and illustration. Today, he is the art director for Spacebomb Records, and sole proprietor of Archaic Mess, a modest printshop located in the Northside of Richmond, VA.
