3D Animation (Ages 12 – 14)
Youth After School | Available
Students will learn the basics of 3D animation and make their own 3D animated gifs. No prior knowledge of animation or 3D computer programs is required! We’ll explore how to navigate and create in Blender, the free and accessible computer graphics software used for professional 3D animation, 3D printing, video game creation, and more! By the end of the class, students will walk away with a basic understanding of digital 3D modeling and 3D animation as well as a digital file of the animation they’ll have created from scratch.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This class does not meet on 11/4 for election day.
Accessibility notes: In youth art classes, many artmaking processes involve (age-appropriate) fine motor skills, physical strength, vision, and ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to info@visarts.org with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
