Animating on iPads (Ages 12 – 14)
Youth After School | Available
Learn how to animate on an iPad! You will develop strong foundations in 2D, digital animation by exploring digital software such as Procreate or the FlipaClip app. We'll complete exercises like synching animation to sound, walk cycles and storyboarding. The goal of this course is to give you the tools and knowledge to continue digital animation on your own. You may bring your own iPad and Apple Pencil- or borrow one of ours.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This class does not meet on 11/4.
Accessibility notes: In youth art classes, many artmaking processes involve (age-appropriate) fine motor skills, physical strength, vision, and ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to info@visarts.org with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Avery Nguyen
I'm Avery Nguyen! I am a freelance illustrator and digital artist who has a strong love of fantasy and world building! I spend almost all of my free time working on my own fantasy world, which includes writing stories, designing characters, making maps, and even making my own fantasy languages. At Vis Arts, I am going to be teaching my students how to craft their own original worlds and stories, as well as how to bring them to life through writing, comics, and animation.
